Project Survival

Project survival is dedicated to the members in our community facing adversity. We acknowledge that life is sometimes unfair so we are providing a free opportunity to aid these members and to give a life-long skill that can benefit themselves, families and friends.

Supporting Canberran's facing adversity

Project Survival is a free-of-charge introductory first aid education session for community members facing adversity within the ACT.

Our volunteer trainers conduct a 90-minute training session on the following essential areas of first aid including:

  • Responding to an emergency
  • DRSABCD
  • Recovery Position
  • Choking
  • Bleeding and wound management

Custom sessions can be facilitated on request.

At St John Ambulance, we want everyone to be confident in their ability to act in an emergency and to look after themselves and those around them.

If you would like to enrol in a group to receive a Project Survival presentation, please contact us by completing the Community Education Request Form.

We look forward to helping you and your community develop the skills to respond confidently in times of need.

Please note this session is not an accredited course, it is a community safety and well-being initiative. Participants will not receive any formal qualifications for attendance.
