Cook Community Pilot Campaign
St John Ambulance ACT have set up a donation point at the Cook community shops thanks to the support of the Cook IGA as well as Little Oink and To All My Friends. We encourage residents to support local and donate what you can (tax deductible) over the next few weeks so you can get a Defib in Your Community. There are electronic ‘Tap and Go’ machines at the businesses that have a range of donation options ($5, $10, $20, or a custom donation).
We launched the Defib in your Community campaign at the Cook Shops on Saturday 29 June 2024. St John Ambulance ACT and the local businesses invited the community to attend the launch, discuss the program and make a donation.
Your community could be next!
St John Ambulance ACT will be approaching local shopping centres in the ACT that have not yet installed a defibrillator and talking with shop owners and the community to help fund a defib to be purchased, installed and maintained by our professional St John Ambulance ACT team.
