St John Ambulance ACT is excited to announce the launch of our new campaign, "Defib in Your Community." This initiative is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone in the ACT by placing a defibrillator at every local shop across our community. Our goal is to make lifesaving equipment readily accessible, increasing the chances of survival in the event of sudden cardiac arrest.
Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, and at any time. Immediate access to a defibrillator can mean the difference between life and death. For every minute that passes without defibrillation, the chances of survival decrease by 10%. By strategically placing defibrillators in local shops, we aim to create a safety net that can save lives when every second counts.
We are reaching out to our generous community to help us achieve this vital mission. Your donations will directly support the purchase and installation of defibrillators, as well as training for shop staff and community members on how to use them effectively. With your help, we can ensure that these lifesaving devices are available to everyone in the ACT, creating a safer environment for all.
